Pandemic Studios invites you to experience the ultimate open-world action/adventure as The Saboteur. Fight, climb, and race your way through a uniquely stylised version of Nazi-occupied France, and hunt down your sworn enemies who have taken everything from you. Enter the seedy underground world of a saboteur living in 1940s Paris, where the women are sexy, the missions are epic, and the revenge is satisfying.
Play as Sean Devlin, a street-tough Irish racing mechanic seeking personal redemption in the first open-world action game set in Nazi-occupied Europe. Now, it's time for payback - with the help of the French Resistance, British intelligence, an arsenal of weaponry, and your own street smarts and brawn, you must exact revenge on those who aimed to destroy your life. Motivated by retribution and armed with tactics of sabotage, blow up zeppelins, derail trains, implode bridges, destroy armoured tanks, and level enemy facilities in the name of vengeance.

Yes it have a few bugs, but even so I loved playing it...A+
Wasn't expecting a lot, but a good, fun game. Yes it has minor flaws, including some of the worst accents i've ever heard and the climbing is nowhere near as fluid as the Assassins Creed games, but it is definatly worth a rent.
The Saboteur is a free roaming game, meaning that you can pretty much roam anywhere on the map rather than be stuck following the story. As usual lets starts with graphics and sound. Graphically this game is good. The cars you get to drive all look very well done. The tanks look just how they should and the characters are done well. As for sound. The cars sound correct for the era they are meant to be from. The guns sound correct when fired. All in all graphics and sound are very good. Game play has both positives and negatives. The positives being that there are a lot of free roam missions that involve destroying things for currency, that can then be spent on other weapons and upgrades. The cars are real fun to drive and handle really well most of them. The fighting with the guns gets engaging especially when the enemy alarm level reaches 4 or 5. The down side is that when the story missions are over, destroying all the few hundred free roam targets can get very repetitive. All in all though this game is very good and has a slight feel of Just Cause 2 for game play. Definitely worth a rent and maybe worth buying. There is swearing and nudity so beware of that if you get offended by that sort of thing. I score this 82
Just finished playing The Saboteur. Warning to all parents, the language in this game is very strong and not suitable for younger players. Gamewise, starts off slowly and you think am I enjoying this? Then you start getting a feel for the game and missions start getting more and more interesting. You have to plan your missions, do you go in the front door guns blazing or sneak in over the rooftops and surprises the Nazi's. Found myself trying different methods and replaying some of the missions just to try another approach. The city is huge and takes some exploring, this can either be done on foot or one of the many cars, lorries, tanks etc around the work. Plays a bit like GTA but not as polished. Good effects with the unliberated parts of the city in black and white until you inspire the Paris residents into rising up against the Germans. Overall I enjoyed the game and think you could be looking at a second outing of the game. Worth a bash.
Absolutely incredible, one of the best games I've played in a long time. A must rent.
Like GTA meets Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious B**tards. Criminally overlooked, this game is well worth a playthrough.
1st class game. part assasins creed and part GTA. would recomend.
Brilliant game, I would recommend it. Sadly it's single player only but it will keep you busy for 1-2 weeks :)
Sometimes clunky gameplay, an over excessive use of side-objectives and a slightly unpolished finish leave The Saboteur sitting just short of being a truly great game. You are put in the shoes of Sean Devlin, an Irish racing driver and demolitions expert turned free runner, being able to scale nearly every building and landmark in Paris, drive a range of racing, civilian and Nazi cars (and later tanks), and destroy compounds and bases full of Nazi reinforcements at the drop of a hat. Starting in black and white (a-la Sin City), your main objectives are to liberate the people of France and bring the city back to colour, using any means necessary. The game focuses on a stealth approach to missions, although running-and-gunning is always there as Plan B. You will find that the story is great fun and the side missions paced well, though the over excessive use of side-objectives (destroying sniper nests, propaganda speakers, bases etc) gets very tedious, with over 1300 targets placed throughout the city. Overall, a good game with an interesting, but you're in for the long-haul if you want the full 1000G!
A very good sandbox game. The missions are all varied, the story intriguing, 1940's Paris is wonderfully done. However, it does have the feeling of being a bit unpolished as Pandemic were closed by EA and this is their last game. If your an achievement go-getter, you'd have to put in some hours as there are literally 1,000 different things you need to destroy to ge around 300G. Overall, a fun and engaging game. Definately worth a rental at the very least.
