Though it was a superb revisit of a classic game, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. At first I found myself reveling in nostalgia and memories. I played Street Fighter II for a long part of my life and hoped that the reboot would bring it up to date. Though the system is a great one for die hard fans, I found the controls ultimately lacking in intuitive reactions and flexibility. The cut scenes for all the characters is a great way to create back story and mood but were cheap and cheerful mock manga compared to the lush and creative treatment used in the opening trailer scenes. I abandoned the game after a few plays, never really engaging with it or caring for its bigger scheme.
This game looks awesome. However after that things go downhill fast. First and foremost the game is too hard on anything but 'easiest' setting. The last boss is frustatingly difficult even on easiest setting (unless you use boring Ken or Ryu). I would rather play normal SF2 that I downloaded from Xbox 360 arcade. This game goes to show that given fancy graphics and fast action almost any game will get 5 star ratings from most people. One word to discribe this game would be ... Frustrating!
Awesome, simply awesome. Basically Street Fighter 2 but with prettier graphics.
Rented this game purely from all the hype. Graphics are excellent and is plenty to do other than obivous arcade fighting. BUT too hard ...again!!!
the combos can bequite hard to do especially while someone is hitting you. the best streetfighter but i prefer tekken. 79/100
A pretty good fighting game, only problem is it requires a large investment to get good at which i'm just not willing to do. Personally i prefer soul caliber as it is easier. Online is fantastic, absolutely no lag for me compared to other fighting games such as soul calibur 4 and burst limit
