Split/Second, an intense action racing game set within the world of a hyper-competitive reality television show. Competitors vie to be the first across the finish line in a made-for-TV city built for destruction, with the ultimate goal of becoming the season champion. Competitors in Split/Second don't just collide with other vehicles to knock them from the track - they can also trigger explosive events that drastically alter the dynamics of the race. Players must use strategy and pinpoint timing to derail opponents, tactically alter the track or create entirely new routes.

Very arcadey feel to the game but the cars are not a drag to handle. Gameplay is very intense and exciting, the visuals are amazing. AI is fairly tough but this is definitely a very fun game. Split screen and online play is mayhem.
A bit of a one trick pony. Took all the things that annoy me about racers and mixed them with all the things that annoy me about competitive online games. It's great fun regardless!
Great for explosions, changing tracks, magnificient set pieces. The multiplayer experience isn't as balanced as on Blur (as experienced players know the track and where all the power play points are) Only other side that lets it down is when you buy better cars, if you play an earlier track, all of the other AI players are driving the same spec (if not more so) than you. Other than that, it's a very fun alternative to Blur, but not quite as good.
Not bad, tries a bit too hard to be Burnout but falls short.
Good graphics and a different stance on racing initially, but gets very repetitive.
