Reviews
Having being spoiled by the majesty of the Sands of Time, this game had a lot to live up to. It's not a bad game but it's not particulary good either. Combat is terrible with some truly bizarre mapping for the action commands. The puzzle platforming element is better and occasionally hints at the level of quality in the earlier games. For people unfamiliar with the mechanics there is a helpful guiding blue light to show the available options for movement. For anyone more experienced with the PoP series this may feel like an unwanted dumbing down of the gameplay but it can be switched off in the options menu. There are achievements in the game to unlock artwork, bonus levels and even the SNES original so there is replay value should you want it.
