In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that much of the wizarding community has been denied the truth about the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort. Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, appoints a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge's Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves "Dumbledore's Army," Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

Plus; You get to travel around an enormous virtual Hogwarts ripped right from the movies. If you're a massive fan of Harry Potter, and have been for a while, then this will greatly appeal. The castle looks great, and it feels very much as it does in the films. It's also fun to just start from one point in the castle and then make your way all the way round until you arrive back where you started. The castle acts as somewhat of a circle, just with many paths through it. The Wizard Chess mini-game is actually really fun if you like Chess. It's very well made, and the school champion is extremely challenging. Minus; The controls. Oh god, the controls. It's hard to describe why the controls are so bad, but as soon as you start to play it you'll understand. Moving feels clunky, and using magic is even worse. There will be times where your aiming at something, preparing to use a spell and Harry will put his wand away. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's incredibly infuriating how often it happens, expecially during the teacher's timed challenges. Ron and Hermione, who follow you everywhere, are also nothing but a nuisance. If you ever go down a tight space, or up a thin staircase, be prepared to spend the next minute running at Hermione trying to get her out of your way. On that note, Hermione is a real pain in the a** in this game. She's actually my favourite of the trio, but in this game you just want more than anything for her to stop talking, stop bringing everything down and generally stop. This sounds like an insignificance, and it is, but after a few hours of playing you'll probably see why I've listed this here. I'm sitting here trying to think of other points to make but I can't. Maybe that's the greatest point I can make. If you're a fan of the fandom you'll love the game, if for nothing else than you get to travel around Hogwarts like never before. But for everyone else, I'd probably give it a pass. Even for achievement obsessives, this game may seem like an easy thousand but the gorram Gobstones mini game is so hard and tedious that you'll literally be there for hours trying to beat it. And to discover everything, you need to beat all the mini-game games. The sequel, Half-Blood Prince, is structurally the same game but they fixed many of the problems that plagues this one. So, unless you're looking to beat them all, I'd go straight for Prince. Just my opinion.
pretty good game this one, another sandbox style. Has all the characters and follows the plot of the 5th film. Lot's to explore and puzzles to solve. Fans of the films will love the game. I personally think it has a limited life span though
