Reviews
To be honest I didn't play Brink enough to give it a fair review. I got kind of bored with it quickly because I found the combination of free running and gunplay a bit too weird to adjust to. It's an okay game, that I'm sure of. The art style is alright, the gun play is alright, the free movement is alright, but you can find better examples of all these mechanics in other games. This game tries to combine them, which on paper looks cool, but actually they might be better kept separate. Also the free movement is simply holding a button down and moving around and automatically navigating over or under obstacles. It's no Mirror's Edge. There's more to it than I've described and I experienced no technical issues, like were reported before it was patched. But overall it just didn't grab me.
