Great combat, if very punishing in places. A visual tour-de-force. Plot is naff and makes little sense, but gives an excuse for the stunning enemies and set pieces. If you love devil may cry 4, you'll love this
Amazing game, graphics are nice, game play is smooth, story line is abit out there but overall a very good solid game!! Worth a rent at least
Not sure how this game it rated 90% on Metacritic. It's not a bad game, but is just a run of the mill button basher. I suspect it has something to do with the striper they used for the motion caption of main character.
From the start of the game you are launched into an epic story about Bayonetta, the last remaining witch who slays angels. Not the kind of angels you see on scenes from church windows mind. These angels are warriors sent from the heavens to tear you to pieces. The action is intense and rarely relents, save for a few little puzzles which have clearly been included to give you a break from button bashing. The controls are tight, it's very easy to perform the various combos available and you'll soon be angel slaying like an expert. The environment is vast and incredibly detailed. There is depth to the game, you can purchase extra moves, weapons and magical items. The currency is halos taken from the angels. You also get special musical records which give you access to new weaponry. Playing the game involves watching quite a few cut scenes but they are rendered with the game engine and help to aid the feel of the game. Overall Bayonetta is well balanced and never boring. The whole experience is very Anime like because the action is so over the top, don't let that put you off though if you don't like Anime! Well worth renting but be warned, you might want to keep it!
Great fun with excellent presentation, tongue in cheek humour. I completed the game on Easy as I'm a tad rubbish at these types of games but the normal and other settings provide much greater challenge and depth. Didn't like the QTE parts although there were only a few.
Brilliant game, pulse pounding action, cool visuals and challenging, best rental so far from Boomerang
Totally surprised that it actually lives up to all the hype. Easy to play but challenging at the same time. The level bosses will blow your mind, they just explode out of the screen. Cut scenes are a bit average though. U won't find a better arcade action game.
A fast paced, over the top orgy of demon slaying.... A fun game without alot of button mashing.
It's an incredible game, but it does start to get a little repetitive near the end. It's EASILY worth a rent.
