This game is 'Marmite'. It is a an action rogue-like where you navigate randomly generated dungeons and battle weird meta-beings wilst collecting all manner of items that you can eat, throw or combine for different (and deadly) effects. When you die you start at the beginning with nothing. Back to level 1 and no items or equipment. There are ways to retain your items later on but dying is part of the game and the plot. After each death (or successful run) you gain access to more of the story and the dungeon will get deeper. Whilst this sounds horrible, if you do get into it then it can be an addictive experience as you learn more about the characters around you and what happens if you open certain boxes or combine items. You can save after successfully escaping each floor so it is suitable for quick bursts of gaming as well as long slogs of hack and slash and throw action.
