Both players have an army of 40 (StrategoOriginal) or 10 (StrategoDuel) pieces. You must try to capture your opponent's flag while defending your own. First, you put together a secret formation. You do this by placing all your pieces on the game board using your stylus.The pieces have different ranks: the higher the number, the higher the rank. If a piece with a higher rank takes a piece with a lower rank, the piece with the higher rank wins and the piece with the lower rank disappears from the screen. The flag can be captured by any of the enemy's pieces that can be moved.The formation of your pieces at the start of each round is an important part of the game. It determines whether you win or lose! Try to be creative with your formation. The object of the game is to find and capture the opponent's flag, or to capture so many pieces that the opponent cannot move at all. Players cannot see the ranks of each others' pieces, so misinformation and discovery are important parts of the game!
